All Riese & Müller HS-Bikes (S-Pedelecs) with the Bosch Smart System that have left our factory since August 2024 are equipped with the Limit Mode instead of the Eco-Mode. If you own an HS-Bike with a Smart System that does not yet have the Limit Mode, you can have it installed by your specialist dealer as a replacement for any of the existing modes. If your HS-Bike already has the Limit Mode but you don't need it, your dealer can uninstall it and replace it with another mode.
In general, all Bosch bikes can have four modes installed. You can choose from any of the options available for your bike. It's best to discuss which combination is most suitable for you with your specialist dealer.
The HS-Bike (S-Pedelec) does not become a regular Pedelec by adding the Limit Mode. The legal requirements for using an S-Pedelec, such as the helmet, license plate, and insurance requirements/obligations, as well as existing prohibitions (e.g. riding on bike paths and forest trails), remain in effect.
