Widgets in the RX Connect App (iOS)

iOS users have recently had access to widgets that allow faster use of the digital bike alarm as well as display the battery status.

Available Widget Types

  • Lock Screen Widget

  • Control Screen Widget

  • Home Screen Widget

Setting Up Widgets

Add a Widget to the Home Screen

1. Press and hold a widget or an empty area on the home screen until the apps start to wiggle
2. Tap "Edit" at the top left
3. Select "Add Widget"
4. Choose the RX Connect Widget and add it
5. Select the desired bike

Add a Widget to the lock screen

  1. Place your finger on the lock screen until the "Customize" button appears, then tap it

  2. Tap "Add widgets"

  3. Tap the RX Connect widget or drag it onto the lock screen

  4. When you are finished, tap the close button and then "Done"

Configuration of the Widgets

  • Multiple widgets for the same bike: All widget types can refer to a single bike

  • Widgets for different bikes: Each widget can be assigned independently to a different bike

Restrictions

  • Within the EU, the use of widgets with MacOS is currently not available

  • Parallel use on two smartphones: Simultaneous control via two smartphones is not recommended, as it cannot be guaranteed that the current system status is consistently displayed on both devices at all times

  • Widget status update: iOS limits the background update of widgets. In individual cases, the display may therefore be updated with a delay. When opening the RX Connect app, the status is immediately synchronized and updated
