Why has the delivery date of my ordered bike been postponed?
Why has the delivery date of my ordered bike been postponed?
Updated this week

We can well understand that you are eagerly awaiting your new bike and are perhaps annoyed that the delivery date has been postponed.

As you probably know, we produce your bike to order and according to your wishes. This means that you will not receive an ‘off-the-peg’ bike, but a customised model made just for you.

The estimated delivery date, which has been communicated to both your dealer and you on the basis of the bike code associated with your order, has of course been calculated realistically and to the best of our knowledge.

However, since both the punctual production and the arrival of the bike at your dealer also depend on factors over which we have no direct influence, it may sometimes be necessary to adjust the estimated delivery date - both forwards and backwards - despite forward planning.

Reasons for this can be, for example, delivery delays at our suppliers, rescheduling by our transport service provider, a dealer's inability to take delivery (e.g. due to holidays) or, in the case of market launches, a delayed start of series production.

For this reason, we always add the word ‘expected’ to the dates. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee compliance with the deadline or compensation in the event of non-compliance.

Your specialist dealer can answer detailed questions about delivery delays. They will be informed transparently once a week about the reasons for any delays in delivery.

We assure you that it was never our intention to test your patience and that we will always do our utmost to have your bike ready as soon as possible.

Why has the delivery of my Homage5, Delite5 or Superdelite5 been delayed (several times)?

Our brand-new Homage5, Delite5 and Superdelite5 models, which were announced for the start of the 2025 model year, were already available for pre-order from the second half of 2024.

The start of series production was originally planned for the beginning of 2025.

These models are complete product innovations in which almost all key parts are being used for the first time at Riese & Müller. This means that everything has to be extensively tested and harmonised before the start of series production.

Naturally, a realistic time window is planned for this when a new product is announced. However, as described above, we are also dependent on factors over which we have no direct influence, so even with the most precise planning, we cannot always prevent delays from occurring.

The Delite5 recently went into production. Although the quantity of frames that was announced is not yet available, we are confident that we will soon be able to deliver all orders.

We are already in the starting blocks for the Superdelite5 and Homage5 models, but are still waiting for individual deliveries so that we can start production. Specifically, this concerns the frames. For this reason, some of the dates have already been postponed several times.

We are sure that the start of series production of the Superdelite5 and Homage5 models will not be long in coming.
