Riese & Müller will focus even more strongly on its core European markets in future. Against this backdrop, the company will cease its business activities in the United States as of 31 July 2026. This decision follows a comprehensive strategic and economic assessment. Key factors include the persistently difficult and increasingly volatile market conditions in the United States.
What will change for me as a Riese & Müller bike owner in the USA?
Nothing will change. Our specialist retail partners will continue to be supplied with spare parts and technical support beyond 31 July and will remain available to assist you with advice and support. Existing warranty and guarantee claims will also remain unaffected by the brand’s withdrawal.
Where can I have my Riese & Müller bike serviced and repaired in the USA in future?
Naturally, Riese & Müller customers will continue to receive reliable support as usual, including the provision of spare parts for Riese & Müller e-bikes and cargo bikes via their specialist dealers. Even after sales cease, dealers will retain access to components, technical documentation and support services. All existing warranty obligations remain in full force and will continue to be honoured.
Will software updates still be available?
As Bosch remains active in the US market, Bosch updates will continue to be available as usual.
Can I still buy a Riese & Müller bike?
Orders for e-bikes and cargo bikes can still be placed with our Riese & Müller specialist dealers until 31 July 2026. Stock held by US dealers will remain on sale whilst stocks last.
All Riese & Müller specialist dealers can be found in the dealer search until 31 July 2026.
Will operations in Europe also be scaled back?
No, quite the opposite. Riese & Müller will focus its resources even more specifically on the further expansion of its European sales and dealer network.
Are other overseas markets also affected by the withdrawal?
Other overseas markets such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand are not affected by this decision.
Who should I contact if I have further questions?
As with all matters relating to your bike, your Riese & Müller dealer is your point of contact here too.
