Since 2018, the maximum speed of a Riese & Müller HS bike is approx. 45 km/h, depending on the design. No children may therefore be carried on trailers. Furthermore, currently there are no approved trailer couplings with Vehicle Type Approval on the market for this category of bike. However, with some effort, a technical service (TÜV/Dekra) could conduct an individual acceptance test for special individual cases.
