Yes, this has been possible since RX App version 2.3.0.
If you have booked an RX service, you can share the live tracking of your bike with third parties.
In the event of theft, this function can be used to share the location of the bike and additional information with the insurance company and/or the police.
This function can also be useful if the bike is used by several people and you want to share where the bike was last parked.
How can I share the live tracking of my bike?
To do this, the live location must first be activated. The corresponding function and the button for sharing the location can be found by tapping the black bike tab above the menu icons.
The individual link can then be shared.
This sharing can be stopped at any time.
Important: a new link is generated each time a link is released and any previously generated link loses its validity when it is deactivated.
The link can be shared via the system-side Share menu, for example by email or via a messenger service. Clicking on the link opens a page in the browser on the recipient device.
The last known position of the bike on the map is displayed on the map.
A bike profile can also be accessed via this link. This opens in a new tab and contains the following information:
- Name given to the bike by the user
- Picture of the bike model
- Brand name
- Model
- Frame number
- Serial number
