Information on used bikes in our Online Shop

In addition to new bikes, we also offer used bikes in our Online Shop. At Riese & Müller, used bikes are defined as all vehicles with a mileage of more than 10 kilometres.

Where do the used bikes offered in the Online Shop come from?

The bikes in the Online Shop were previously used in various areas. They are, for example, returns from our subscription model, exhibition or test bikes that were used at trade fairs or demonstration bikes from our field service colleagues.

Detailed information about the individual history of a bike on offer cannot be requested. However, we guarantee that the used bikes are reconditioned before they are resold and are in the condition specified.

What warranty and guarantee do I receive for a used bike from the Online Shop?

You receive the statutory warranty of one year for used bikes from our Online Shop.

In addition, we also give the full voluntary manufacturer's warranty of 5 years on used bikes.

What does the specified condition of the bikes mean in detail?

All immediately available used bikes are reconditioned, tested and delivered in perfect technical condition by our experts at our Mühltal site. The bikes have the mileage specified in the vehicle description.

Like new

All bikes with minimal visual defects such as minor scratches or paint damage as well as all bikes that have undergone a Riese & Müller "Smart Repair" due to minor defects and therefore have minimal colour deviations, for example.

The bikes are either brand new with a slightly used battery or have been used for a test ride and have the mileage specified in the vehicle description.

Slight signs of use

All bikes with slight, not immediately visible visual defects or signs of use such as scratches or paint damage with a mileage as specified in the vehicle description.

Medium signs of use

All bikes with visible visual defects or signs of use such as scratches or paint damage on the frame and/or add-on parts. The bikes have a mileage as specified in the vehicle description.

Significant signs of use

All bikes with clearly visible signs of wear in the form of scratches or damage to the paintwork on the frame and/or the add-on parts with a mileage as specified in the vehicle description.

What is the maintenance condition of a used bike from the Online Shop?

All used bikes are serviced before sale in accordance with the service and maintenance schedule (see general operating instructions p. 44 f.).

For reasons of sustainability, we refrain from prophylactically replacing all wearing parts before resale. However, as part of the reconditioning process, the wearing parts are checked and components that are close to the wear limit are replaced favourably.

What condition is the battery of a used bike in?

The individual battery capacity of individual bikes cannot be called up. However, the two-year voluntary manufacturer's warranty on the battery also applies to used bikes from our Online Shop.

Does the 14-day right of cancellation also apply to used bikes?

Yes, the right of cancellation described in the General Terms and Conditions of the Online Shop (§3) also applies to used bikes.

Am I also entitled to ConnectRide Free or ConnectCare Free for used bikes from the Online Shop?

Yes, the bikes from the Online Shop that have an RX chip also receive a one-year free RX service.

All models in the Delite5, Homage5, Superdelite5, Packster2 70, Packster2 70 CT series and the UBN Line models are eligible for ConnectCare Free.

All other models receive one year of ConnectRide Free.

Does Riese & Müller also trade in bikes to offer them in the Online Shop?

No, Riese & Müller does not buy used bikes from end customers
