What does the bike status in the RX Connect app mean?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The bike status can be called up in the RX Connect app by clicking on the typical "Wifi symbol" on the map screen.

Bike status symbol

In order to utilise the internal battery of the RX chip as efficiently as possible and thus ensure a long transmission power, the RX chip transmits a signal at intervals, so there is no permanent connection to the mobile network.

In idle mode (at least 5 minutes of standstill), the RX chip transmits once a day, and once a minute when in motion.

You can recognise whether the RX chip is in idle mode by the bike status symbol

Active mode

Sleep mode

In addition to the mode, the following parameters are also part of the bike status:

RX Chip battery

The battery symbol and the adjacent percentage value indicate the charge level of the RX chip's internal battery. The RX chip's internal battery is independent of the charge level of the bike battery.

You can find out how the internal battery charges here:

Updating the bike data

The bike data includes the "vital data" of the bike, so to speak, such as the battery status and whether it is switched on or off.

Updating the position

Here you can see when the RX chip last transmitted its current position to the RX Cloud. If this was a few hours ago, you can still assume that the bike is still in this position, as the RX chip is activated and sends a signal as soon as the bike is moved (see chapter "Bike status symbol" in this article)
