The new 5th generation Bosch Smart System motors have already found their way into some Riese & Müller models. However, our portfolio also includes current models that are equipped with the 4th generation motors (e.g. the BDU374Y).
Models that were developed and designed before the launch of the 5th generation motors cannot simply be converted to the new motor generation, as the motors have a completely different suspension. A completely new product generation must be introduced for this purpose.
The Charger4, for example, has the new Bosch Smart System, but not yet the 5th generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor (BDU384Y). This model still uses the 4th generation Performance Line CX motor (BDU 374Y). The same applies to the Nevo4 and Nevo5.

Please note that there are still a few vehicles on the market that are equipped with the predecessor system, the Bosch e-Bike System2. You can recognise these by the fact that they come with an Intuvia, Kiox, Nyon, Smartphone Hub or Purion display*.
